Publishing Delays Due To Bouncy, Jerky Video

I started filming some video for the next article I have written regarding breaking in the engine of a brand new car. It's actually been waiting to be published because of the fact that I would really like to have some video to go along with it.

However, all the video footage I took had bad audio and was bouncy and jerky.  Looking at beautiful rides through the view of bouncy camera footage is as bad as someone letting loose a deadly but silent fart in the elevator you're riding in.

Since video is the seat you will be riding in I wanted to share with you what I got to make your ride more comfortable but didn't break my piggy bank.

To bring you a more smooth ride I decided to go with the hohem iSteady X Vlogger Kit. I bought the kit directly from the hohem website as they had the best bang for the buck, plus if you use the coupon code AKLOVE you can get $5.00 off your order.

The iSteady X Vlogger Kit comes with a 3 axis smartphone Gimbal to provide smooth video, as well as a wireless lavaliere microphone with earbuds to hear the quality of the microphone.

Not only does it come nicely packaged and as fast as they say it will, but it also comes with a wrist band and nice velvet bag to store it in.

I still need to get used to the gimbal joystick and the video program it comes with, which is to provide you with more control over the camera.

As the holidays and life has made things busy around here, I haven't had much time to really check out the hohem iSteady camera X app. However, what I've learned about it so far is that it has a video stabilizer and object or person tracking.

Only one of those features came with my original camera app and it was still jerky after applying the stabilizer. The extra iSteady X camera app features should be very useful in providing you with a smoother ride.

I did happen to pick up a couple extra lavaliere microphones made by Slint, mainly because I want to provide the true sound of the ride without worrying too much about losing the microphone. I got them from Walmart for a decent price and am pretty happy with them.

So give me just a bit to mess around with this triple axis gimbal, and I should have that next article about breaking in the engine of a new car out to you soon!
